Fr. Stokes


Fr. Stokes was named Administrator of Most Blessed Trinity Parish on June 14, 2016 by the Most Rev. John Barres, 4th Bishop of Allentown. Fr. Stokes is also assigned as Catholic Prison Ministry for the Federal Correctional Institution - Schuylkill, State Correctional Institution - Mahanoy, State Correctional Institution - Frackville, and Schuylkill County Prison.

Fr. Stokes was ordained a priest by Bishop Barres on June 4, 2011 at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Sienna in Allentown. His priestly assignments included: Parochial Vicar, St. Patrick Church, Pottsville (June 2011 - June 2013); Chaplain, Nativity BVM High School, Pottsville (June 2011 - June 2012); Parochial Vicar, Notre Dame Church, Bethlehem (June 2013 - June 2014); St. Ignatius Loyola Church, Reading (June 2014 - June 2016).

Fr. Stokes is the son of Kay and the late Frank Stokes of Bath, PA. He has a twin brother and an older sister, along with 4 nieces and a nephew). Fr. Stokes graduated from Bethlehem Catholic High School in 1995 and Lehigh University in 2000 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting. He joined KPMG, LLP. Accounting Firm in Philadelphia after graduation. He later left KPMG to create and manage the Internal Audit Department of an international weight loss company headquartered near Philadelphia. 

Fr. Stokes entered St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in August 2004 to begin his studies for the priesthood. Fr. Stokes received a Masters of Divinity Degree with a specialization in Systematic Theology in 2010 and a Masters of Arts in Theology with a specialization in Sacred Scripture in 2011. 

Fr. Stokes enjoys listening to music, wathcing the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, going to the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs with his mother, playing golf, weight lifting and spending time with his family - especially spoiling his nieces and nephew.
